I conduct lessons from 1 hour up to intensive courses
When you learn with Riteway School of Motoring, you'll get your own personal lesson plan taking into account any driving experience you may already have, as well as your level of confidence. As your instructor I will put together a personally tailored course to give you the best chance of passing your test, and provide you with safe driving skills for life. My car is fitted with dual controls so you know you are safe, and I only provide a one to one tuition service this means no sharing cars like many other driving schools do.
How many driving lessons will I need to take?
Driving is a skill that some people learn quicker than others. The Driving Standards Agency states that on average a person requires approx 44 hours of professional lessons combined with approx 22 hours of private practice. I will monitor your progress at the end of each lesson using Riteways training formula and progress chart, from this we will be able to assess how near test standard you are.
Start studying: To pass your tests you'll need to know a lot of theory, as well as be able to demonstrate practical skills. You'll also need to pass both your theory test and your hazard perception tests before you're allowed to sit your practical test. All of our lessons follow the DSA syllabus learning to drive, our aim is to give you tuition to the highest standard, so that you should pass your test at the 1st attempt.

Great!
You’ve passed your driving test - now you can drive on your own at last. But it doesn’t stop there; this is just the end of the beginning…
Getting your own car will give you the independence you need. For a new driver, the cost of insurance can be sky high.
And the reason for this?
Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving career.
Age doesn’t matter – it’s basically down to a lack of driving experience.
